Who pays for what?

When it comes to the division of costs between the Bride and Grooms families there is really no traditional way anymore. Lots of couples are even paying for their weddings themselves these days. But I was just asked yesterday, "what was the traditional division of costs?" I have listed it here below:

Expenses for the Bride and her Family:

• Bridal gown and accessories
• Ceremony fees including musicians
• Reception, including food, cake, and beverages
• Floral decor for Ceremony, reception and Bridesmaids flowers
• Photographer
• Videographer
• Brides gifts for attendants
• Brides gift to groom
• Grooms wedding ring

Expenses for the Groom and his Family:

• Brides Engagement and wedding rings
• Gift to bride
• Gifts to attendants
• Officiant fee
• Brides Bouquet
• Boutonnieres for grooms attendants
• Marriage licence
• Honeymoon
• Rehearsal dinner
